Because Donald Trump and his douche clown car of fools and ass-kissers throw roughly 800 nuclear bombs per day at the American public, it’s awfully easy to miss stuff. Big stuff. Important stuff. Culture-warping stuff.
Like, for example, the recent rise of Jared L. Wise.
You almost certainly haven’t heard of Wise, buried beneath the Big Horrible Bill and Iran nonsense and ICE raids and Pam Bondi and RFK, Jr. He is a man who, several years ago, was—according to the New York Times—”charged with encouraging the mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to kill police officers.”
I repeat: To kill police officers.
Here, read this …
In short, Jared L. Wise is a bad guy. A profoundly bad guy. A horrific guy. An anti-American guy. A guy who actually fits the adjectives Donald Trump (wrongly) uses to describe anyone he dislikes. And now, because we are living in the depths of absolute fucking hell, Jared L. Wise has been named as an adviser to a Justice Department task force Trump created to gain revenge against his perceived political foes.
Yes. You read that correctly. A dude who attacked the Capitol and rooted for police officers to be murdered has been hired by Ed Martin, director of the so-called Weaponization Working Group. And I want to emphasize is this. Like, really emphasize this: If you know any cops who love Trump, or any agents who love Trump, or any security guards who love Trump, please let them know that their orange god has aligned himself with a turd who (literally) aspired to have their brethren killed. Seriously—bring that shit home. Repeat it over and over and over again.
The next time Trump says he’s pro-law and order. The next time Bondi says the government is going after the bad guys. The next time Nancy Mace says we need folks who love America.
Remind them all that Jared L. Wise, Capitol attacker and police despiser, is working for the administration.
Remind them that he’s alive and thriving.
Remind them.
PS: I am leaning more and more this way—which sucks, because I love Independence Day. Or, eh, loved …
No, Jeff. Just like in our favorite series, "V," now is the time to stand up and show that we're here and we aren't going away.
In a time when our democracy feels tested and rights can feel under threat, it’s more important - NOW - than ever to celebrate Independence Day as a reminder of what we’re fighting to protect: liberty, equality and justice for all.
The Declaration of Independence isn't just words on a page. It's a set of aspirations that the Founding Fathers hoped the United States would live up to.
It galls me that ultaconservatives have attempted to co-opt patriotism and love of country. Moderates and liberals love America just as much as everyone else. Don't let ANYONE - especially these grifters - steal your love and celebration for YOUR country.
Happy Independence Day, buddy!
There is an event at LA city hall on the 4th calling to “End the Occupation”. The train goes very close. It’s a patriotic thing to do.
