Also, it is not a total given that a Republican will win this district. If you've been paying attention to the special elections in red states around the country, there have been enormous swings to the left (even in places like TN). These are double-digit swings, and CD-40 is going to depend on the Latino vote staying wth Trump. That really is not a given, so not all hope is lost.
Thankfully, I was not on her mailing list. I note that Ken has been dominating my streaming media with his attack ads against Young Kim calling her a RINO and Trump hater. I assume this is from Ken, becuase it seems to me this places Young Kim in the Moderate category - which might get some uninformed voters to go with her. Ugh! This is so sleazy!
We just received a mailer from Young Kim stating that she has voted with tRump 100% of the time. This was written in big bold letters. Suprised that she chose to emphasize this. Anyway, mailer was immediately recycled in disgust.
It’s time for California’s Democratic candidates to set egos aside and face the reality of their chances. Those who are not viable should withdraw now and unite behind the Democrat most likely to win—because the bigger picture is to get rid of Young Kim and help flip Congress blue.
The reason I became a Jew by choice is when I moved to the OC in ‘92 everyone was inviting me to Bible study classes & reciting scriptures to me. Also trying to lure my daughter into their cult! Jews don’t proselytize! Amen
Kim was my rep in 2021. She was reasonable for a Republican, not overly MAGA. After J6 she wouldn’t go for impeachment but i believe she did vote for censure. Still ballsy for s first term GOP congressperson. But like all Republicans shr has now bent the knee.
Living in the 40th (ex 45th) under the reign of Kim, I can say with confidence that she is not only grossly unqualified but definitely not a disciple of the brown-skinned hippy who went by Jesus. I’m no disciple either, as an orthodox atheist, but I live my life far more representative of the dude’s teachings than any repug in office. Because of the 2 redistricing events that have occurred, I’m living in political hell only to remember a better time when I had Katie Porter in Congress.
I think the math is bad for us there. They have 2 viable candidates and we have 3. And… there’s more of them to start with. I think both Republicans get through the primaries UNLESS we let MAGA know that Trump is making the USA into the most evil violent nation.
Time to shake the candidates awake. Kerr is most likely to win in CD 40. The other two - one of whom I admire - need to drop out and save their $$ for a race they have a chance to win.
