Sent her an email yesterday pledging to WORK against her re-election.

We sent Mimi packing, we can do it again.

One of the first things I read this morning was this:

https://www.borowitzreport.com/p/a-new-declaration-of-independence

So many of the original complaints about King George in 1776 also apply under King Donald the Orange. It was chilling.

Hope you are right. The fact that the medicaid cuts are timed AFTER the midterms does not help. All those non-voters who stayed home in 2024 won't be paying attention unless their TV shows them the ICE agents rolling up on random people to send off to concentration camps--maybe that will get their attention? I'll work to end Kim's congressional stay.

Why didn’t you mention Christine Gagnier? She is one of the legitimate candidates against Young Kim.

I am concerned about her school board background. The school board candidate lost the primary in the last election.

And the firefighter lost by 10 points to Young Kim. Christina is a lot more than a school board member.

The only number that matters in politics is 50. Joe was 5 points away from flipping CA-40 and he got 49,000 more votes than the previous candidate in 2022.

If you’re upset and have the means, please go donate to Christina Gagnier’s campaign. I may have moved to Derek Tran’s district now, but Kim truly sucked as my representative.

I, too, got a letter from Kim touting all the “benefits” of the abomination bill she voted for. Kim, as you say, is a nice lady who came into office when the R party was the loyal opposition and she’s hung on to see the party go off the rails. For me, she voted as expected so I’m not disappointed. But the last person who was my rep and voted against the interests of her constituents served exactly one term. I think this will be Kim’s last, too, for the same reason.

So spot on! Got a nice little cover my ass letter from Young Kim this morning. First response from her this year despite claiming to have spoken to hundreds of her constituents prior to her vote. Looks like she realized this will not go well for her and she's trying to make this pile look like a good thing for her district.

July 4, 2025

Dear

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns on H.R. 1. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

H.R. 1 passed the Senate on July 1, 2025, after being amended in both chambers of Congress. This bill uplifts working families and small businesses struggling from persistent inflation, restores fiscal responsibility, strengthens vital programs like Medicaid for our most vulnerable citizens, and makes historic investments in border security and our national defense.

As you may know, I voted Yes on H.R. 1 when it came before the House for consideration. Over the past several months, I have met with hundreds of community members and local advocacy groups and heard their message of protecting access to care for those who need it the most. I have made clear in talks with House leadership and my fellow members of Congress that we must strengthen and protect vital Medicaid services for the most vulnerable Americans. This bill ensures Medicaid is protected for future generations for whom the program was intended to serve, including pregnant women, seniors, children, low-income individuals, and people with disabilities.

Furthermore, I stood up to the White House and House leadership to secure vital tax relief for small businesses and families in my district, increasing the cap on the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction fourfold from $10,000 to $40,000. Additionally, the bill permanently increases the child tax credit to $2,200, gives seniors an additional deduction of $6,000 per individual, and eliminates taxes on tips and overtime pay, among other provisions. As a result, families in my district will be able to keep more of their hard-earned money to invest in their communities and provide for their loved ones.

On July 3, H.R. 1 passed the House and was signed into law by President Trump. While we may not see eye-to-eye on this issue, rest assured that I will keep your thoughts in mind should future legislation come before the House for consideration.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please feel welcome to call my office at (202) 225-4111 or write me a note at any time. To stay up to date on my work for you in Congress, I encourage you to visit my website and sign up for my e-newsletter at youngkim.house.gov, and follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at @RepYoungKim.

Sincerely,

Young Kim

Member of Congress

I don’t think she put much effort into it. It is no doubt the same response every R is sending.

I got a note yesterday from the Social Security Administration telling me about my new tax deduction. Do they think I would rather save a few bucks on my taxes rather than keep millions of people from pain and suffering? I would give up ALL my social security check every month if it meant all people could have access to medical care, food, and freedom from being kidnapped by the ICE Gestapo and sent to labor camps or foreign countries!

Young Kim is an evil person with a perverted system of values. As they all are.

Let's celebrate the true patriots who told the king to "shove it" today, not those who capitulated like Young Kim!

I was actually hoping, against all logic and reason, that she would vote against the bill as well. I saw the thousands of social media comments, and noted the sharper, more panicked tone her struck when talking about the bill. As I watched Hakeem Jeffries try to buy us time to call, write, and post, I allowed myself that faint glimmer of hope that a MAGA Republican might do the right thing and listen to the thousands of voices pleading with her.

But then she voted and reality punched me in the face. Young Kim is scared of Donald Trump and would rather take her chances in a general election than be primaried. She's a nice lady, with no courage or political independence. Under normal circumstances she'd be a middling, unnoticed congresswoman for probably many years. Under Trump everything she does is scrutinized because she is in a purple district. We have to understand that under the current regime her constituency is an audience of one, Donald Trump, and we should expect her to vote accordingly.

She has to go! Seems there are too many candidates who will just divide votes among themselves.
