I actually think it's bad news they didn't endorse a gov candidate as that would have tipped the balance and reduced the likelihood of them each holding on to an even share of the GOP electorate - The Dems need to get their sh*t together.

This wit-filled essay really strikes at the heart of why so many of us independents, and even Dems, recoil at the loss of the once “reasonable” Republican Party. Mr. O’Neil seems like a lovely man, and a true community leader who cares about keeping Newport Beach shiny, but his foray into the current underbelly of Huntington Beach crazy MAGAland, not to mention support for the National leader that just posted an AI generated pic of himself as Doctor Jesus, is disappointing at best, and alarming at worst.
