Tone deaf barely even starts to cover this nonsense. Please leave Chuck… and go and eat your yogurt at a State Fair.

The long-time senator from Tel Aviv. Why would he care about the US, expect to fund Israel’s genocide and bombing of seven+ countries?

I am of the same generation as Senator Schumer, and I do not doubt his good intentions—though some may argue otherwise. I have generally appreciated his leadership and approach over the years. Sadly, however, his methods have not kept pace with the demands of our current times—particularly in diction, resolve, and command of social media.

We need to push back against the well-organized GOP in ways they understand to preserve and protect our democracy. While I deeply appreciate Senator Schumer’s years of service, it is time for him to step aside and make room for a new generation of leaders capable of effectively carrying that fight forward.

on repeat in my brain: It's time for Dems to get MEAN, LEAN AND UGLY! Like Jeff, I am sick of all the nicey-nice chicken shit flowing out of Dems' mouth! When they go low, we should go way lower. (Cf. Machiavelli's THE PRINCE)

We can’t wait until 2026. The sooner the better to get someone who will stand up to the bullies!!

You could easily have made this point without relying on ageism for lazy and snarky humor. Chuck Schumer hasn’t changed as he aged.

I tend to agree. It isn't Schumer's age that is the problem. He simply has demonstrated he isn't up to working successfully in the era he now finds himself. Bernie Sanders is old but still is relevant. Schumer isn't anymore.

If his constituents keep electing him to office, thats fair. But the Senate doesnt have to make him their leader and spokesman.

Jeff is right. He's Bob Hope in a Bad Bunny world.

We can do better. We must figure out a way to do better. Is anyone even planning on primarying him?

Until reading this article, I never really thought of how big of a deal (potentially) it could be to have a fresher, younger, more motivated person in his position. My goodness how great that would be to help bring this country back on track.

It’s hard to imagine Democratic leadership isn’t seeing the polls which reflect Americans displeasure with the party. And yet, nothing changes. No change to leadership or the communication strategy. I can’t imagine donors are pouring money on to this rudderless ship. There are clearly younger more ambitious Dems in the Senate why are they opting to stay in line? When you think of it that way maybe the Dems and GOP elected officials aren’t so different.

What do you expect him to do? Resign? C’mon. He’s here until 2026. Just throwing darts at him isn’t helpful. Yes, he’s lame. Yes, he’s past his expiration date. We all get it. But he’s all that we have, for now.

I expect him, as the minority leader, to have some sort of pushback against fascism. Otherwise he can go
