I’m here for it! Just moved into this district and myself (a retired teacher) and my family will be voting against this Lisa Davis and her crew of MAGA morons. If she taught public school, it is a public record that is easy to find. By calling her out, she clearly did not teach in public school. Thank you for posting this info!!
In today's world no one is a blank slate. I am guessing some one knows if she actually taught somewhere. Evidently she is not from the district. Otherwise some would know. She has a fairly common name but someone with good searching skills would be able to find out about her educational back round. If one can find out where she got her college degree the rest could probably be figured out.
A similar situation is about to happen on the Newport Unified School Board. The special election is 6/10. Although Kirsten Walsh was interviewed through proper procedures and selected to fulfill the open seat (Michelle Barto's old seat), the right (or someone?) decided that they wanted Andrea McElroy instead. Looking into Kirsten's background she is perfect for the role. Looking into Andrea's there is NO evidence of experience or empathy for schools that would come close to making her a good candidate. On the contrary, there is evidence from court judgments that she is a scofflaw and flake. Please help us get the word out.
And I almost forgot... McElroy is backed by... LISA DAVIS! And Mari Barke, and all the other whack jobs. Glad my youngest kid graduates from high school in a year and I don't have to deal with any of this, but I'm not going away either.
The thing is that everyone assumes that it’s no longer their problem once they don’t have school age children, but if you own a home in a school district with a terrible board who trashes that school district, it directly impacts the value of your home. For most of us, particularly in SoCal, our homes are one of our largest financial investments & if we live in family oriented neighborhoods & the school board trashes the district so that families don’t want to live in our neighborhoods, then our home values & our assets suffer. This is why we all have to pay attention to this. We didn’t used to have to. It used to be decent retired teachers & administrators who would be on school boards, but now it’s these extremists with these crazy agendas being funded by donors outside of the district, who are invested in charter school corporations.
Not always. I’m a homeowner with a grown child who only recently clued in to the lunacy afoot. (I thought we weren’t zoned for this crap!) Too many people are just ignorant about local, news and issues
I brought this up earlier on one of Jeff's threads. McElroy has a lot of money and all the 'right' people backing her, but we know nothing about her. I drove down the peninsula yesterday, and she's definitely winning the sign war, too.
I have photos of a summary of the of the twelve lawsuits (with case numbers) filed against her since 1997. As to the claim that McElroy (formerly Young) was a "business woman", a copy of her schedule A-2 lists her income as between 0-$1,999. Either she is not a very successful business-person or she isn't reporting income.
Will do! I worked for NMUSD and am friends with members on the school board there having taught their kids. I have MANY friends in the area and will work to get the word out!
Lo and behold! I have tried to look her up before, but here she actually posted her history as a comment under a post she made on her FB “Lisa DAVIS CUSD school board” account on Oct 8 2020. Yes, the weird caps are how she named that page. And enjoy the self-pats on the back 🙄. So now, we could really use someone from the Rialto and Redlands school districts to find her true history, because she never said for how long she taught, only that she stayed home with 4 children for 9 years between gigs. Here’s the post :
Lisa DAVIS CUSD school board
I taught in both Rialto Unified and Redlands Unified School Districts.
I began teaching at age 22 and completed my master’s degree and teaching credential by the time I was 24.
My husband and I were married when I was 19 and he was 20. He served in the USMC and left to serve in the First Gulf War when we were married only 6 weeks. While he was gone I took 18-24 units while working full time as a dispatcher for a hazardous waste management company. When he returned I continued to take an almost double full load of classes while continuing to work full time.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in less than 4 years even though I attended 3 different schools. I immediately starting my master’s degree program at Claremont Graduate school and earned my CA teaching credential simultaneously.
I taught at Kelley and Trapp Elementary schools in Rialto Unified school District.
Then I was home with our 4 small children for then next 9 years.
I then taught at Crafton Elementary school and Moore Middle school in Redlands Unified School District.
We moved to San Clemente in 2015 where one daughter attended Bernice Ayer Middle School and two children started at San Clemente High School. Three of our children will graduate from SCHS. Our youngest daughter is a senior at SCHS this year.
I have served on the PTA and PTSA both in Redlands and San Clemente for the past two decades as well as many community boards.
So, we could estimate her time in Rialto schools to be sometime after 1995? And then she took off 9 years to be a SAHM. And her stint could have been at Redlands schools anytime between approximately 2006 to 2015.
You can find teacher credential information on California's Commission on Teacher Credentialing website. https://www.ctc.ca.gov Click "Search for an Educator" and "Public Search" and then enter the name Lisa Davis. There are several Lisa Davis listed, so next you need to know the trustee's middle name or initial. Once you find the right "Lisa Davis" you can review the documents associated with that credentialled person, including last place of known employment.
Valid points but you lost common decency with several crude statements. I agree with your point of view, but keep your rants short and sweet (kind) not like Don aka DJT, goes a long way in my book.

You know who else serves as "an elementary and middle school teacher" without a discoverable record of having taught in an actual school?
Homeschool teachers.

Trust me, I know. Hence the 'I'm not going away!' People are too busy to pay attention, and they need to wake up.

Oh, and many of her signs are posted illegally. Some folks have reported this.

Who knows what other secrets lurk. She's full of shit.
Maybe she was fired from her job.

I tried common decency with the right. It stopped working.
I come here for Jeff's spin and very honest observations... Which includes the witty statements.
