I have been a public junior and high school teacher here in Oxnard CA for the last 3 decades and have been telling my students that in spite of some of the unfortunate history, the police are generally "on our side" and trying to hopefully make it better. ICE is shredding that notion. I spoke with our Chief of police yesterday and he was explaining that the local police have no power over the feds to "protect our people." I don't agree. Of course there are many MAGA in law enforcement but I would wager that even some of them are uneasy about what ICE is doing. The border is effectively shut down, people are terrified, and these goons keep coming. These ICE goons are wearing "Police" on their body armor and doing damage to the brand. 2. Which European country did your ancestors emigrate from? Did your ancestors stay in southern parts of the US once they arrived here? Do you have relatives living in the Northern Tier of the midwest? How many Native people did they displace?
Note: DACA is a nationwide program, and that young people under DACA are here legally. DACA is not something that gets “established” in a particular region. Maybe you are confusing DACA with “birthright citizenship,” which is also perfectly legal, and is part of the US Constitution - just like gun rights are.
Please stop with these false claims about targeting "legal" citizens. None of them are legal. People are "reporting" that non-citizens are "legal". All it takes to be "legal" under some peoples definition is that they've been arrested and/or crossed illegally but haven't been deported yet. Again, why would someone come all the way up here? Answer that. Why? Is anyone going to fix that? Who? When? How?

In addition, they send $65 billion a year over the border via money transfer to fund their summer vacation homes. Conservative estimates of the cost is $1/2 Trillion a year, when expanded to include the weight. The last guy to say that in front of a crown was shot and killed.
The crime and corruption is rampant. So the real question is: "Who benefits from the corruption and crime?" - look to AIPAC
