So a US citizen born in a country that has since changed its name must use the name as it was, for historical purposes? Eritrea was Ethiopia in 1992. Someone born in Zimbabwe prior to 1980 must say they were born on South Rhodesia?
It’s not only cruel it subverts the purpose of a passport which is for identification. What is this sick administration’s next move? Requiring us to dress and groom in socially acceptable compliance with the sex assignment on our birth certificate?
So true what you're saying Jeff. There really is no other reason for forcing the issue with the passports, other than just being mean. You should be able to have your passport reflect the gender that you align with and that you are living your life as. I cannot think of a single good reason for forcing trans people to use their birth genders on their passports.
You can call them a-holes, but I think they’re more accurately sadists. They derive some sick enjoyment from visiting misery upon others.
its not just the cruelty...its that they ENJOY the cruelty

Cruelty is a strategy for them.
