I'm also running for local office in (South 😫) Orange County and have crossed paths a LOT With Katrina recently. I truly think her campaign has her overbooked. She's constantly popping in, giving her spiel, then bouncing. Which kind of sucks for us local candidates who need her exposure and support! But, I also know she's in a fight for her life so I try not to take it personally. It still sucks, though. I was with a group who worked really hard to get her into city council and am a huge fan, I just wish she had time to pay it forward!
Same. We sometimes get the obligatory photo op and then she's off to something else. It's good to see candidates spend time focusing on people. It's kinda like a job interview, because that's our job as electeds. PS- I am also a Foley fan even though I don't get to vote for her.
I'm sure I'm not the only one of your readers that was inspired by what you have written about her and donated to her campaign. I hope she can give you a few minutes.
It is puzzling that a politician who could reach her desired audience/likely supporters would turn down the opportunity. Perhaps she thinks your readers are in the bag? The politicians that are catching people’s attention understand how to use the splintered info bubbles to their advantage. They tend to be younger and have a strong point of view.
Any politician has to make strategic use of her time. Perhaps Katrina does believethe readers of The Truth OC offer slim marginal benefit compared to other audiences. Or perhaps, as Shamyben says, she is overbooked.
Your wacky Truth OC experiment is important to all of us who follow your insightful and often hilarious coverage of politics. Thanks Jeff for playing your part to save America! Katrina Foley would be nuts to not talk with you.

Well, let's see how many of us can forward this to Katrina.
Come on Katrina, open up!
I would think she could/should take 15 minutes out of her busy day to speak with you.
Talk to Jeff, Katrina!
