Judy Bullockus must resign
Nothing to see—just a member of the Capo Unified School Board dropping the n-word during a meeting.
Judy Bullockus is a trustee on the Capo Unified School Board here in Orange County, California. She’s a longtime Mission Viejo resident who loves long walks on the beach, sunsets, cool breezes, picnics, butterflies and casually dropping the n-word during public meetings.
Yes. You read that last part correctly.
In case you’re thinking, “That can’t be true,” here’s ol’ Judy during Wednesday night’s school board confab. The topic was the novel “James” by Percival Everett.
Hell, you be the judge …
And before I call for Judy Bullockus’ resignation (and, lord knows, she damn well better resign), it’s worth noting that she’s one of the hard-right Capo Unified School Board members who ran with MAGA in mind and the backing of myriad local mega-churches; who ran on a platform of returning responsibility and decency to public schools; who ran on this belief that we—the Moms for Liberty-inspired squad—will bring righteousness, integrity, sensitivity to local schools.
If you campaign on this idea of scholastic wholeness, maybe (just maybe) you shouldn’t be dropping n-bombs like Tupac at the House of Blues. It’s beyond ludicrous. You are here, on this board, because you convinced voters that you understand the importance of education; of enlightenment; of right vs. wrong. And there you sat, alongside your peers, just, hey, breaking out the n-word. Not even flinching as you did so. Not even pausing. Not even having the common sense and wherewithal to think, “Perhaps this isn’t my word to use.” I’m guessing, even now, Bullockus believes she did nothing wrong. Isn’t even aware of it. Crap, I can hear it inside her walnut—“If those people can use the n-word, why can’t I?”
The best part (aka: the worst part) is Bullockus is a member of this four-headed wackadoo squad of hard-right board members—none of whom uttered a peep of objection or outrage after the racial epitaph. Like, Jennifer Adnams, you there, sis? Lisa Davis—girl, you got anything to say? Lisa Zollinger—you wanna holler? Because lord knows, you four will scream and shout and moan and groan whenever anyone suggests, oh, diversity or LGBTQ sensitivities. Y’all are all over that stuff. But Judy Bullockus leans into her mic and uses the n-word, and … nothing? At all? Zero? Zip? Nada?
Seriously?
It goes without saying, of course. that Judy Bullockus needs to either resign or be removed from the board ASAP. After all, she wasn’t speaking at the Dudes Who Play Poker Thursday Night Jamboree. This wasn’t Pizza Night for the David Duke Society. No, this is a school board. A place of educational significance. A place where people are required to exercise wisdom, caution and good judgement in the name of academic excellence.
Judy Bullockus, you violated 1,000 codes of decency.
It’s time for you to bounce.
ASAP.
Wow! That was exactly as described. And no other board member objected which is a reprehensible. What was the discussion about? A book?
Nice try spinning the truth, but anyone without TDS can see through your lie.
Judy fiercely supported and described the man as “smart, compassionate, and real.”
The use of the expletive was for literary emphasis only. She used it to describe the tone of the story and the horrific scene. Judy spoke against the crude implication and defended him 💯. Her use of “the word” was anything but derogatory. Rather, she defended and praised his character!
Your spin of the truth is an obvious political tactic, skewed with TDS blindness. Your attempted attack is a weak argument and it's an insult to our intelligence. I’m confident that Judy’s proven track record in the community will outshine your dark attempt to defraud her character.
