I have always thought Newsom was just okay. However, I lived in the Bay Area in the early 2000's when he started marrying gay couples in SF City Hall in defiance of state law. His actions pushed the issue to the forefront. Like his weird venture into doing podcasts with right-wingers, he is willing to take political risks.

I’ve never liked to watch fights, but this inspires me to check out Micky Ward. And yes, Gavin is stepping up when we need him the most. Nice when he isn’t (yet) running for anything.
