Actually HB has been a white centric town as long as I lived in the OC--1970's. As part of a family formed across the color line, my Black spouse had experiences in the 50's and 60's that warned. Sure enough, we found out not o drive through HB in the same care to avoid police harassment.
Thank you for this article. I am calling the HBPD and express my fear of even going to the pier. That is more than a vigil and more of calls for violence. They probably will be carrying concealed weapons
