It is time for the grassroots to take more control of the party, including, but not limited to, running alternates in primaries. We should all encourage AOC to primary Chuck for the Senate seat.
This may have been obvious to everyone but me, but this was set-up by Schumer. The target was 8 votes. Schumer conspired to find those 8 votes so that he could take the high road and vote against the bill. It did not happen organically. The leaders of both parties in the House and Senate know how to count votes. Pelosi was famous for it.
He did vote against it. And I don’t see a rush of other Dems clamoring for his job. If they could do better, where are they? Easy to complain. Time to step up.
