As a caviar in a local city council race, we need more people talking about voting down the ballot and talking to their friends and neighbors reminding them to do the same. We don't need to pipe in with how we wish for them to vote or who to vote for, just remember that those positions are muy importante! 💙

I keep myself anonymous as much as possible in case I ever say something my opponent or those who support her will find offensive somehow. I try to stay civil, but it's very difficult given the political times we are in.
What's done is done.....but I hope there is a MASSIVE Letter to the Editor campaign. Jeff, would you consider submitting an Op-ed articulating some of these points? Perhaps omitting Death Star references :)
It’s important to recognize that the SCNG Opinion board has fetishized “school choice” to the point of holy writ. I suspect that it functions mostly as a fig leaf for opposition to public employee unions in general and the CTA bogeyman in particular, but in practice they automatically endorse candidates that sing from the school choice hymnal regardless of their other attributes or positions.
This is another capitulation by the media. I value your work here, and find myself often aligned with your views. Any chance you will weigh in on those normal candidates we should consider?
