Having been in organizations that used this sort of heavy-handed "justify your position" tactic, the thing that's amusing to me is just what the fuck anyone is going to do with these email responses.

Estimating 2.4 million Federal employees (not counting military or USPS), and assuming 20% have been laid off (a number I pulled directly from my backside), that still leaves more than two million responses.

Obviously there will be some sort of automated assimilation of these data but given the broad range of the English language, not to mention jargon and colloquial distinctions, it's going to result in a kluge of crap.

And I bet the "cc your manager" is going to clog email servers alone.

This is absolutely absurd. The objective is clear: get as many people as possible out of Federal service, as quickly as possible. The data will feed some AI tool (a tool other than Leon) with a bunch of really dirty data.

If all this wasn't having real consequences for real people, it'd be laughable.

Yep. I agree, but I think it’s going to take hunger for them to leave trump. Literally, no money to buy food. And still Fox News will convince them it’s a genius way to lose weight and to thank trump for helping them.

I did ask. And they responded with an enthusiastic yes.
