Jeff, this isn’t only about replacing qualified leaders with unqualified loyalists. It’s about a Mike Johnson–led Congress failing to exercise its role as a coequal branch and uphold its constitutional responsibility to defend our democracy. And now, as tensions escalate into open conflict with Iran alongside Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, many Americans can’t help but question the timing — and whether political deflection, including from the Epstein fallout, is part of the calculus.
Sadly, true. Let's not forget the embassies with no ambassadors because trained ones were fired. Hello, Kushner dad in France. And, no seasoned diplomats because they were fired and replaced by his SIL who is focused on building resorts in Gaza and other self serving real estate deals.
Nothing the tRump regime has done, is doing, or will do can end well. These are profoundly ignorant, incurious, immature, and impulsive people of the sort who were "born on third and think they hit a triple." They're in over their heads in every way, and taking us down with them.
I honestly don't see how our country survives another three years of these fools.
I feel sad, angry, depressed, fired up… sometimes all in 1 day (or hour), sometimes not.
I’m 63 & remember Vietnam (sort of), the Iran hostage crisis, Desert Storm, Bush’s Iraq debacle & now Iran redux (starring Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth & a bunch of other idiots).
Here's my prediction for what will happen soon. The military will realize they don't have enough volunteers to put boots on the ground in the Middle East, so guess who they will "recruit"? All those undocumented immigrants in concentration camps. They'll be made an offer they can't refuse. "Join the military and die for the country that doesn't want you, or be deported to a worse hell."

Trying to stay hopeful. It’s getting harder.
