The Veterans are marching in Irvine
And you should too, dammit! It's happening this Friday at 4 pm.
We are living in a hellscape.
There aren’t too many other ways to state it. Each day brings another fecal nugget. Each night brings another your-grandma-in-the-nude nightmare. Donald Trump hasn’t been president for two months, yet he’s found a way to harm this nation in ways big, bigger and BIGGEST. He is an Andre the Giant body slam to decency, hope, empathy, togetherness. Were the president a cockroach, I’d step on him and rub my heel into the pavement—sans a second’s delay.
Wait.
Deep breaths.
I digress.
In these dark times, one can either slink silently into the corner, or they can fight. Hell, that’s why I started The Truth OC. It’s me, lacing up the ol’ boxing gloves and doing my best Mike Tyson. Land enough jabs, you can make a difference. Hit MAGA in the chin with an uppercut, you’ve got a shot. Why? Because these people (Trump, J.D. Vance, Pam Bondi, Elon Musk, Marco Rubio) are cowards. They like bossing folks around; like cosplaying G.I. Joe. But when you call them out and stand up and show you’re not willing to simply kneel and beg, well, it leaves welts.
Put different: This Friday, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at Irvine City Hall (1 Civic Center Plaza), a United States Navy veteran named Nick Carter will be leading the “Veterans March Irvine.” The goal is to have California veterans and their supporters show up en masse, march the streets and make loud and clear that We, the People are fed up with the nonsense. “We took an oath to defend the Constitution,” Carter said. “Join us as we march in solidarity and as patriots.”
As planned, on Fridays veterans from near and far are slated to march on Washington, in state capitals, and major cities (yes, Irvine is a major city!) to remind citizens that Donald Trump owns the January 6th insurrection. That he inspired the attacks. That he kicked back and watched. That he hates what America stands for, but loves power. That he has mocked POWs, referred to soldiers as “losers” and “suckers.”
This march isn’t just about Trump — it’s about defending the Constitution those who served swore to protect, and standing up against the authoritarian threats posed by Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation, and the MAGA nuts.
So, as the kiddies say, LFG.
Which means Let’s Fucking Go.
