This broke my heart too. I’m a new season ticket holder and he was my favorite! O’Hoppe, Neto, Jo, loved watching them all and they will all be gone. That said, I’ll treasure my JA bobble head next month. So sad.
I hope, if nothing else, Cleveland can turn him into a good major league player. He could never quite get there with the Angels, despite being a top prospect at one point.
The Angels are probably doing the right thing trying to rebuild in earnest, but I know Adell was something of a fan favorite and fans deserve some reward for dealing with such a miserly owner for so long.
Angels fans, I come bearing a hot tip… Y’all just picked up a 22 year old catcher with massive upside potential in Moises Ballasteros. This dude has excellent bat-to-ball skills. Really fun to watch him at the plate when he’s seeing the ball well. I’m sad to see him leave my Cubbies, but I hope he plays his way into the everyday lineup for the Halos.

No matter how badly we lost games this season Adell, O’Hoppe, Silseth, and Soriano always seemed to play with heart. These guys were my favorite group of Angels so far. 😔Sigh. I hate the business side of this game. Still. I will continue to follow these players this season and beyond. Adell and Soriano especially. Here’s hoping they get to win some games! Here’s to appreciating baseball in Orange 🍊 County and being in community with our players and fans. 🙏🏽⚾️
Oh my, I am a lifelong Angel fan. I was there on opening day of Angel Stadium - yes, I'm that old. I have shared season tickets for several years, but the lack of hustle and imagination plus defensive mishaps, and baserunning errors, make this long-time softball coach absolutely crazy! Adell's phenomenal catches in one game do not make him a defensive stalwart. The Angels need to invest in this team. Angel fans DO CARE about winning.
