It's astounding to me that folks like this lady and her friends espouse values like "limited government," yet take stands on things that happen in the lives of other people's homes.
This was the case in Orange USD, when a board majority stopped caring about education and started targeting children and were subsequently recalled.
How crazy are these people? I'll give you a personal example: The then-OUSD Board wanted to enact a resolution that parents were to be notified if there were any signs that a student was gay or trans. One of the "signs" was a name change.
So for real example. My daughter's name is MacKenzie. My wife and I call her Mac. She prefers to be called Mac, but most people at her elementary school call her either MacKenzie or Kenzie (which she hates). So if my daughter decided to cause a ruckus and demand to be called Mac, she would have been placed on some sort of "list" and my wife and I would heve been flagged as trying to transition our kid and notified that she was attempting to transition because of her preferred name change.
Never mind that kids are being bullied, harassed, racially targeted and physically assaulted - We gotta make sure "the babies" don't transition.
Nothing that Melissa or her Crew (pun intended) have to say about other people's children is relevant. These loons and bigots have their own platform. No need to give her one, Jeff. To quote Lt. Frank Drebin: Nothing to see here.

Approximately 5% of California's K-12 public school students experienced homelessness at some point during the school year. According to data compiled by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), this percentage translates to nearly 300,000 students statewide who face housing instability.

Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicate that roughly 26% of transgender high school students attempt suicide annually, compared to roughly 5% of cisgender male students and 11% of cisgender female students. Research links this elevated risk to external factors like minority stress, discrimination, rejection, and bullying.

Well, you certainly got under her skin! I wonder why people won't leave trans kids and their parents alone and let them decide, along with their health care providers, what support and services they need.
I read this the other day and woke up thinking about it again. I mean this with kindness but this person needs some help. I can’t imagine living in this kind of reality or psychosis and I have no doubt she fully believes everything she says and thinks she’s doing good by telling everyone. She has amassed a following that feeds and breeds off this kind of chaos. The accusations are often rooted in confessions though. First thing that comes to mind is the Turning Point/Club America push into schools. Of course if they are pushing this kind of indoctrination on to campuses, why wouldn’t everyone else be doing the same thing? The thing I come back to is why? Why would anyone be pushing to make kids trans? To what end? Like an army of trans people out there? The money isn’t there so that’s hilarious. And of course the default to the big scary teachers union. Again, accusations are confessions. The lies upon lies these people have been fed is just terrifying. She is equally sad and scary.
The woman's certifiably bonkers, but give her credit for all the energy she exudes. If only Dems could match it, we'd be making more progress. But we're all out there earning a living, raising families, and living our lives. It's time for that to change. Evil thrives when good people do nothing.
I don't know what Bible she reads, but it can't bee the same version I have. Has she not read the Gospels? "I desire compassion and not a sacrifice" Matthew 9:13. She should refer to Matthew 23 instead and look in the mirror, as it's her ilk Jesus is addressing Bunch of goddamn hypocrites if you ask me. Jesus didn't come to talk to us about abortions and LGBTQ people, He came to warn us about false religious leaders.

What kind of twisted logic got this nut job to that conclusion? A peak inside her thought process was truly an adventure down a rabbit hole of crazy. Never mind letting families make private medical decisions with a physician--let's have the "no government intervention" crowd overrule physicians. Shheesh.
I would sure like to see all the reams of data showing how kids are recruited into lgbtq+ -ism. I suppose those scientist are from PragerU. I wonder what their human subjects policies are? What about their peer-review practices? In which scientific journal is this research published? Why should we believe those researchers? More to the point, why does SHE believe them?
