So two days ago I attended a rally in Mission Viejo, outside Young Kim’s office.
Toward the end of the event, a woman named Mary Evangeline Oberschlake announced that she would be delivering a handful of protester-written notes to the office of the CA-40 congresswoman. We’d never before met.
“Can I come?” I askd.
“Sure,” she replied.
Mary is 68, an Army veteran from the Vietnam era and a longtime nurse. She’s a registered member of the Green Party, but is more interested in right v. wrong than political designation. As we walked, she made clear her presence was neither a Republican thing nor a Democratic thing.
It was a principle thing.
Mary strolled with integrity and a hint of frustration. She is tired of the nonsense going on, and wants to make sure her voice—and anger—is heard.

There is a "funeral" procession, with a coffin, or coffins, being held near Young Kim's Anaheim Hills office at 10AM on May 21st. Wear black. We meet at Sycamore Park and will walk to her office where there will be some speechifying.
