She seems like a sensible candidate in this time. Thank you for introducing her to me Jeff.

Will she win? No, most likely not. Is she exactly the type of person we need in politics in our current moment? Of course she is. I hope she goes for a Santa Ana city council seat if CA-40 doesn’t work out or something like that.

I was stunned when you used the word “fuck” with a woman in your first question. The meaning behind this word is literally “I have so little respect for you that I would use you like a woman.” You did not say, “Fuck you” to Ramirez, but you put that word in her face.

Later, you said to her face “...we’re just fucked. Fucked, fucked, fucked. And you don’t seem to feel that way.” I know it seems cool to sound vulgar and macho, and women in a man’s world have to put up with it. And sit there and take it. But you could decide to write like a man, not a slang-slinging adolescent. Please elevate the tone of your discourse.

Holy fucking shit. Marcia, you have 800,000 choices of blogs, websites, substacks to read. I fully volunteer my time to focus on local politics. I make $0.00 to do this. If you don't enjoy the content, or my fucking word choice, read elsewhere. You get what you pay for, and this substack is free. Seriously, this is a free, volunteer political site. Cut me a break. [and 'fuck' the definition isn't the same when applied to contexts]

Jeff has a lot to offer and is a wordsmith, so he should use his talents and choose his words more thoughtfully. Say what you mean, Jeff, without being vulgar. The “F” word is an overused vulgar expletive! You have the ability to be eloquent. That’s why you are a writer and the rest just grab the first words that pop up.
