Is that Young Kim with Greg Bovino?
It sure is.
I saw something striking today, and I need to share.
Young Kim, the CA-40 incumbent congresswoman now desperately trying to fight off all challengers, sent out a mailing.
This mailing …
And if you’re thinking, “It seems like the once-somewhat-moderate Republican is turning hard-core MAGA,” you wouldn’t be incorrect. See, with the whole Prop 50 redistricting thing, Kim is now fighting to protect her turf not only from Democrats, but also from a fellow Trump-loving conservative named Ken Calvert, whose 41st Congressional District was turned to apple sauce and tarter.
As a result, Kim has to try and peddle herself as Ms. MAGA. So she’s talking tougher, walking tougher and telling anyone who will listen that Donald Trump is her ride-or-die bro-bro.
But there’s a problem.
A big problem.
A big, big problem.
While the new CA-40 is significantly more Republican, it also happens to be nearly 20 percent Latino. And although a good number of California Latinos supported Trump over Kamala in 2024, recent polling all shows a rapidly rising number of folks (within the Latino demographic) are fed up, disgusted, frustrated, terrified over all things ICE. The masked agents. The grabbing of innocents. Or, put differently: It’s one thing to say you’ll go after the criminals. It’s another thing to kidnap the nanny.
Yet here’s Kim, actually including a photograph of her with Bull Connor, the George Wallace of our times …
If I’m Lisa Ramirez, who I consider to be the Democrat’s best CA-40 possibility, I use this image … every … single … day. I feature it, highlight it, staple it to Young Kim’s shirt and remind people of the visual all the damn time.
But maybe that’s just me.

The "once-somewhat-moderate Republican" is playing to the cheap seats.
Those are my pics, btw... you can find them on my BlueSky page, eleldouble
As I said in my post over there, she went ahead and alienated herself with over 19% of her constituents by putting out that horrid, useless flyer. I immediately emailed her team, btw, which I do almost daily. Maybe she knows she's in trouble and just wants to go out in a blaze of inglorious defeat? To which I say, "OK!"
