At 11AM today we will be joining 1000's of others forming a "human" banner at Ocean Beach (San Francisco). Can't wait to stand shoulder to shoulder with the masses advocating acceptance, civility and kindness to all people!

I was there, too. I was glad to see so many young people.

I expected so little from south OC, so seeing each protest get bigger and more diverse is truly encouraging. More men, more young people... not just us old white ladies anymore!

The turnout was amazing and inspiring, especially the families and students. The honking horns were very enthusiastic and frequent! I didn’t see many middle fingers or shouts of ICE support from cars passing. One agitator walked through the crowd and yelled, “White ladies show us your tits!” I guess he’s a racist misogynist? 🥴😂

Ah, that’s the one who marched past us near the south end of Camino Cap.

Just noticed I misquoted him- he said White ladies, not white women.

Thanks! Sorry I missed you. Really enjoying your perspectives. I didn’t see any negative stuff myself, unlike previous rallies. This was a good one

Thank you Jeff.

The OC medical community showed up last night to the vigil at the Old Courthouse in SA, in scrubs and white coats— and I’d say the average protester was 30-something. That’s young when you consider that this was a call to medical professionals— so, presumably adults with jobs. It was heartening to see.

Did you happen to to see the nutter in a bright blue suit walking a small dog? He decided to start shoving people, including a high school teacher who didn’t even have a sign. He walked past us later spewing “white women, white women” even though there were 2 guys and a brown woman next to me. He clearly wanted engagement and violence. We did not give it to him. Poor dog.

You and I are kindred spirits my friend. I was at the rally too and had the exact same reaction you did to the large number of young people. It was fantastic. You walked right by me- I'm in your video at the 1:42 mark. At least the back of me. 😃

Thanks Jeff for showing up and taking such a great video. So true about backward hat guys but also the flat brim bros. It’s part of their uniform.

Don’t miss No Kings 3 in March, people! Stay strong in the face of this government brutality!

He looked like Nick Tortelli (Carla’s first husband on Cheers). He was yelling “bunch of fucking white people” as he passed me. I said “Hey Dude” and when he turned towards me I showed him my huge sign of a giant middle finger 🖕🏻 . The douchebag then threw a punch at me (hit my sign).

Thank you for the awesome write up! I was there with my 82 year father. It was inspiring to see all ages standing against injustice.

I agree with you Jeff- this protest felt different… and it may have been due to the attendance of multigenerational 🙏

I was there and it was amazing! I agree with you this one was different, the energy coming from the young people was contagious and motivating and hopeful!
