Decidedly yes, there is lots to like about Lisa Ramirez's abilities already proven, to take on the horrific gestapo- like actions of ICE, and immigration as whole, including the vile rhetoric about our fellow Americans and community members. However, one major concern arose at a recent SouthOC4Democracy Wed. 11--1 rally, she was asked if she would work to codify abortion rights for American women, and the silence as they say, was deafening, with a murmuring only about how she sees it as state's rights issue. As a physician, I can expertly say that this does not work for a nation of American women and their families. For me, she does not qualify as an advocate in Congress for women's health care rights, including abortion which is healthcare, something to take into consideration as you watch how CA-40 shakes out.
