Much was made of Chris Kluwe’s statement, then arrest, at last week’s Huntington Beach City Council meeting. But there were an overwhelming number of residents who, like Chris, spoke up in the face of inevitable defeat.

This is the sort of stuff we need right now—courage, integrity, a determination to not simply shuffle on, but roll up our sleeves and throw a strong right hook to the jaw. I understand the helpless feeling many are going through at the moment. But do NOT let it consume you. Certainly, do not let it silence you.

Truly, they (the MAGA dwellers) want to feel as if we’re stomped to submission.
