Buffie Channel speaks truth about Huntington Beach

Let’s make this thing happen.

So over the past year or so, I’ve become a huge fan of Buffie Chanel, the Huntington Beach bad-ass and a woman unafraid to speak out against her city’s absolutely brutal and destructive and cruel and dickish city council.

Which is to say, listen to every … single … word spoken here.

Every.

Single.

Word.

If you live in Surf City, there is a legitimate opportunity to change the tone, approach and decency of a seven-person board that has gone completely nuts.

So vote Taryn Palumbo, Erin Spivey, Ben Davis and Brenda Glim. Can they all win? In a city that leans heavily conservative, it’d be a bit of a miracle. But can one or two (or three? Or four?) crack through the plaster and start showing residents that civic-mindedness is far more important than R or D?

Hell, yes.
