Here is my question: with an assault and theft with the victim and the perpetrator on video with a time and date stamp, why hasn't the LA District Attorney opened a case against the federal employee who assaulted a resident in LA County? The DA has prosecuted a few violent LAPD and LASD employees in the past. A camoflage costume is not a get out of jail free card.

On the other hand, asking the leadership in the state of California to go after the feds and protect the people they were elected to serve is a no brainer. Why isn’t the CA AG or LA DA suing the government on this man’s behalf and everyone like him?
Stop payments to the government- try something Trump would do. Be bold and use the power of California to right this ship. Others will follow.
Democrats have lost trust because they aren’t governing the way they campaign. If you want to be the party of the people stand up and protect us from this corrupt tyrant. Build more housing, do anything with the homeless situation. I’m a lifelong democrat and I’m sick of the feckless responses and speeches. Do. Something. To. Keep. Us. Safe.
And deliver on issues that matter like affordability, housing, homelessness and …. Call an emergency and bypass all the red tape and get shit done Newsome and CA Legislature. Show people democrats can deliver- that’s the contrast that will defeat Trump.

These actions by ICE is why we protested on NO KINGS DAY. The racist stench of Stephen Miller is all over these illegal interrogations and treatments. Where are the people policing the ICE gestapo? This tyranny has got to stop.
Brian Gavidia was in court this week, as the class action suit against the federal government got under way. He is a prime exhibit; the argument is clear: there is no legal basis for the government to stop people and interrogate them because of their skin color. I hoped that when we saw him abused on the front page of the LA Times that perhaps the judicial branch would provide relief. Let’s pray this lawsuit stops the abuse now!
