Unfortunately, when he is done (termed out, impeached/convicted, and/or croaks) the damage that has been wrought by him and his enablers will take decades to recover.

From the “glass half full” perspective, this country has had a lot of flaws since its inception. Now that the Trump Administration has torn it all apart, we will soon have the opportunity to build back better, from the ground up. We should be thinking about how we should do that.

Yes, but we need an intelligent group in charge of building USA Version 3.0.

That is a good reason for people to realize that whether they like it or not, we all need to be involved in politics. We all need to find young to middle-aged folks who are intelligent and have a moral compass, and encourage them to "run for something." Start with water district or school board. (I have fantasies of my son switching to politics as a career.)

It is almost no consolation for the incompetence and cruelty he has inflicted on the world. As my family in Ireland reminds me: this too shall pass.
